This painting is the centerpiece of the Backcountry Collection. At 48" x 30", it captures the vast beauty of the landscape that inspired it.
I took the reference photo while we backcountry guides were learning and exploring these remote trails for the first time. This view is on the ride back to camp from North Fork Pass. It was so breathtaking I ended up painting two canvases with scenes from this area!
That long ride gave us time to connect with our guests, and later, to settle into a peaceful silence filled only with the sounds of hooves on damp earth, rustling critters, and distant rock slides.
I hope this piece brings you a glimpse of the magic we felt out there in the heart of the mountains.
